Homeopathy is the second most widely used system of medicine in the world. It is a holistic modality that considers the whole person; physically, mentally, and emotionally. By addressing the underlying imbalance that contributes to illness rather than merely suppressing individual symptoms, homeopathy works with the body to restore balance and vitality.
Homeopathy is grounded in the principle concept of the law of similars, or like cures like. Simply put, this means treating symptoms with substances that create those symptoms. This concept has been widely used in medicine for 2500 years. Using highly diluted substances, homeopathy stimulates the body’s innate healing capacity.
I struggled with my health for years. I was exhausted, I had allergies, eczema, poor digestion, and my hormones were out of whack. After trying what seemed like everything, I stumbled across an article on homeopathy and gave it a whirl. I wasn’t expecting much but, out of curiosity (and partially to prove that it didn’t work), I tried taking a remedy in an acute situation and I was astonished at how quickly I felt relief. I had to learn more.
I read everything I could get my hands on and took a few courses online. I dabbled with home prescribing for a few years for myself and my family and had some hits and some misses but knew I was on to something big. So, I took the plunge and started working with a professional homeopath. It was a game changer. All the things I had been struggling with for years began to improve. My energy came back and my body was healing. I was sold.
I decided I wanted to learn it from start to finish. The whole shebang. I needed to know all the things. Luckily for me (a bit of optimism mixed with a hearty dose of sarcasm here) right around the time of this realization, covid hit. The world shut down and even though we already homeschooled, now we really didn’t have anywhere to be. So, I figured, no time like the present, and enrolled at The Academy of Homeopathy Education.
I am currently a classically trained student working under supervision at AHE. I am also a certified Bach Flower Therapy Practitioner and Trauma Informed Coach. I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds and have a passion for working with the adoption community and those struggling with addiction.
I have been married to my husband, a fourth-generation citrus and avocado grower, for 19 years and we have two sons. When we’re not working, homeschooling, in the garden or caring for our animals, you can find us at the beach or out exploring!
