At our first appointment, we will meet for 1.5-2 hours to go over your health concerns, medical history, and how things affect you on a mental and emotional level. Homeopathic consultations can differ from other experiences with complimentary medicine practioners or doctors due to the unique, holistic approach that is taken. 

The goal when we meet is for me to get a good understanding of your experience as you move through life not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well.

Everyone is unique and with that, everyone's experience is unique to them. In homeopathy, the specific way you experience the manifestation of your symptoms along with your history help me to clearly see the pattern that is specific to you. Having a good understanding of your pattern of symptoms will lead me to selecting the remedy that is best suited to you.

Following your initial intake appointment, I will carefully analyze your case and select a single remedy that most closely matches how you experience your symptoms. 

Homeopathy seeks to restore health and balance at the root level of illness. It is important to remember that with chronic conditions, we generally don't get sick overnight. The path to wellness is often nonlinear and due to everyone's individual expression, vitality, and circumstances, it can be quicker for some and slower for others. That being said, a general rule of thumb is about one month of chronic care for every year you have been unwell. At follow up appointments, we will check in, assess your response to the remedy, and track your progress over time.  

No. Homeopathy differs greatly from allopathic medications and works with the body to balance and restore. As your health improves and symptoms fall away, we will need to meet less often or not at all at which point I will be here for you if any new health challenges present in the future. 

No. Homeopathic remedies do not work in the same way as allopathic medicines. There are no contraindications when using them simultaneously. However, if you are seeing improvement of your symptoms during treatment and would like to reduce your prescription medications, reach out to your doctor as you will need to work closely with them. Do not stop taking any medications before consulting your medical doctor. 

Homeopathic remedies are manufactured in homeopathic pharmacies and are overseen by the FDA. Most remedies are made from natural substances such as plants, minerals, and organic compounds. The manufacturing of remedies involves a process of serial dilution and succussion known as "potentization". Through this process, any potential toxicity is removed and the healing capacity is increased rendering them safe, gentle, and effective. 

One remedy at a time. In classical homeopathy, a single remedy is chosen based on a comprehensive assessment of your physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. Employing the principle of  "like cures like," a remedy is selected that mirrors your complete symptom picture. Often, this picture shifts as your health improves. This is why follow up appointments are a crucial part of your care. Following your unique symptom picture as it evolves will enable me to continue to recommend the most fitting remedy for you at each point in your health journey. Some individuals may need only one remedy, many others need a few as their symptom picture shifts and their body communicates the need for a different remedy to take them to a higher level of health.
